GAMEPLAY
Each 101 Sports competition consists of 101 sporting fixtures during a given month, across a full range of sporting codes. The fixtures are issued in weekly increments (ie, about 25 fixtures each week).
The competition covers most major international sports, however as 101 Sports is operated from Australia to a mainly Australian audience, there is some bias toward competitions run in Australia. There are usually three month-long competitions each year.
Competition Spreadsheets are emailed weekly, or available for download during the competition in the Play menu above. Complete drop down menu selections or all questions. Entries are submitted via email only.
SCORING
Two points are awarded for a correct answer. Each week there is one bonus question which is worth five points if correct. Coupled which the bonus question is a numeric question relating to that fixture which is used to determine a Margin. Your Margin is calculated by how far removed your prediction was from the actual result. The lower your Margin, the higher you will be ranked if scores are tied. Margins accumulate each week, therefore a lower cumulative margin over the month will result in a higher ranking in the final standings, should scores be tied.
HOW MUCH TO PLAY?
Entry is A$15. Entry is open to those with an Australian or New Zealand bank account.
PRIZEMONEY
Prizemoney is awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall, but amounts will be dependent on the number of entries.
There is also a cash prize for each of the four weekly winners* over the duration of the month.
*In the event of tied scores and margins for weekly prizes, the higher ranked player will be the winner. If scores are
still tied the prize will be shared.
